My name is Pieter Stopforth, and like most South Africans, I grew up around the fire. For me, a braai has never just been about food – it’s about family, friends, stories, and the joy of being outdoors. Whether it’s the bushveld, the farm, the beach, or the backyard, the braai is where memories are made.

Over the years, I noticed the same frustrations again and again – grids that don’t fit, fat dripping into the fire, food going cold, or lugging heavy stands around when all you want is a simple, quick braai. That’s when I decided to design something better.

The result is the STOP4TH Braai Stand – a proudly South African, registered design (No. F2024/00761). Strong, practical, and portable, it’s built for the way we live: always ready for the spur-of-the-moment braai.

What makes it special is its versatility. One fire can do it all – vertical braai for fat-free grilling, horizontal braai for multi-level cooking, or even a quick pot of pap, coffee, or breakfast in the morning. It folds flat, fits in your car, and lasts a lifetime.

I built this stand for myself, my friends, and my family – and now it’s here for you. My vision is simple: that every South African has a STOP4TH Braai Stand in their car, ready for the next adventure.
